Graze is the joint product of Chef James Devaney and Sarah Rose Bayley. Established in 2020, Graze aims to utilize the exceptional bounty that the Hudson Valley has to offer. With seasonal changes to our menu, we strive to give our patrons the opportunity to taste the freshest ingredients at the peak of their season. We shop at local farm markets and use local butcheries as frequently as possible. Some of what goes on behind the scenes include pickling and fermenting all of our products in house, grinding our own meat, crafting sausages, and making fresh pasta- just to name a few! We specialize in many small plates with big flavor profiles and encourage guests to try a number of different dishes. Come and experience tastes, flavors and textures that we know you will love!
Chef and Owner James Devaney is a Graduate of The Culinary Institute of America. His first Restaurant, Maggie’s in the Alley holds a “Restaurant of the Year” award from the Times Herald Record. He has worked at a number of locations throughout the Hudson Valley, all the while meeting a number of different farmers, growers and producers of the region’s finest foods, produce, cheeses, meats and specialty products. It is his ultimate goal to have guests eat and order ‘out of the box,’ and try things they wouldn’t normally gravitate to. Between his international flavors and varied techniques, nothing is off limits!
